About ValueJet Lagos Para Table Tennis Open//

The ValueJet Lagos Para Table Tennis Open, is an annual ITTF-sanctioned table tennis competition for physically challenged athletes, which holds every December, at the Molade Okoya-Thomas indoor sports hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos.

 

The tournament which traditionally runs over the course of 3 days, features 45 event categories, and is aimed at shaping up athletes for future competitions, both within and outside the continent of Africa. Also, the tournament serves an ITTF ranking event in Nigeria, for these athletes, as they push to establish global careers.

 

The The Value Jet Lagos Para Table Tennis Open, brings hundreds of Para Table Tennis players from across the country, to Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, for the 3-day championship organized by the Sunday Odebode Foundation led by Sunday Odebode, in conjunction with the Para Division of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), and ValueJet as the official tournament sponsor.

 

The Value Jet Para Table Tennis Open is driven by the desire to provide life-changing engagements and platforms for physically challenged athletes to achieve big dreams in sports, through harnessing their sporting talents and getting them ready to compete against the best of Para Table tennis players in the world, as they play in various tournaments organized around the globe.

 

This has been successfully demonstrated in past global events where players from the tournament have gone ahead to represent Nigeria as part of the national team……
